In keeping with our name, Heirloom is a tribute to the heritage that defines Cape Town and its people.

 

Each plate reflects our connection to the past, designed with an eye toward the future. Executive Chef Asher Abramowitz

Chef Asher Abramowitz brings a wealth of experience and a passion for culinary excellence to his role as Executive Chef at Cape Grace, A Fairmont Managed Hotel.  After spending 18 years abroad honing his culinary skills in the UK and New Zealand, Chef Asher returned to Cape Town, eager to reconnect with the Mother City’s vibrant food scene.

 

Chef Asher’s culinary style is characterized a respect for local and seasonal ingredients.  His menus reflect a commitment to fresh ingredient and beautiful plating, which also serves to surprise and delight guests.  Under his guidance, the hotel’s dining venues continue to reflect the level of luxury that the hotel is known for.

The moment you step through the beautifully inlaid double doors, you enter a magical realm of elegance, opulence, and grace that somehow also succeeds in feeling ultra-contemporary. Tucked within our new Heirloom Restaurant, is a private dining room that seats 10 people comfortably, making it the ideal venue for special occasions, discreet dinners, intimate celebrations, and set menus curated by our chefs.
